Egyptian striker Omar Marmoush is at the top of the list of the 10 most expensive African transfers in the winter transfer period. He officially joined Manchester City from Eintracht Frankfurt for 75 million euros. This comes after a successful half-season in Germany, where he played 26 matches across different competitions for Frankfurt, scoring 20 goals and providing 14 assists. His impressive performances led Manchester City to secure his signing.

According to “Daily Sports” newspaper, Marmoush leads the list of the most expensive African deals in the winter. His excellent form in Germany convinced Manchester City to make the move. His ability to score and assist in many games caught the eye, prompting the English club to sign him.

Marmoush’s arrival isn’t the only big move on the list. Moroccan Reda Belahyane comes in third after joining Lazio from Verona for 9.5 million euros. The young Moroccan player, who has already played 22 matches this season, is expected to continue his great performances with Lazio. At just 20 years old, he has shown plenty of potential and is ready to keep impressing.

In fourth place is Hakim Ziyech, who made the list of the most expensive African transfers after leaving European football for Al-Duhail in Qatar. He joined the Qatari club on a free transfer after ending his contract with Galatasaray. Despite struggling to make an impact at Chelsea and Galatasaray, Ziyech’s market value remains strong, which is why he makes this list.

Ziyech had an excellent time at Ajax Amsterdam, but his career hasn’t gone as planned since moving to Chelsea and later Galatasaray. He was also left out of the Moroccan national team recently. Now, he looks to relaunch his career in Qatar, and his future success will depend on how well he performs there. His experience is still highly valued, and coach Walid Regragui may look to make the most of his abilities if he can regain his top form in the Qatari league.
