Guardiola loses his temper over Manchester City transfers.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola got upset when reporters asked about the club’s summer transfer plans for 2025, including new signings and players who could leave. He made it clear that the team must stay focused on their important match against Fulham.

City are set to play Fulham this Sunday at 6:00 PM Mecca time in the final match of the Premier League season, round 38. A draw of any kind will be enough for City to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Guardiola spoke at the pre-match press conference and said, “We’ll see… Right now, my only focus is on the Fulham match. After that, we’ll take the right steps before the new season.”

When a journalist asked him again about possible exits, Pep replied strongly, “Of course I won’t tell you. Do you really think I’ll give you a list of players who are leaving or the ones we’ll sign in the summer? That’s just crazy. It’s not going to happen. You should know that.”

At the same time, Pep caused some debate when he said he might leave the club if the squad does not get smaller, as he has too many players to manage during the 2024–25 season.

He got a question about that comment in Friday’s press conference and cleared things up, saying, “I was joking. I won’t walk away from the team, but I still believe what I said. I don’t want players staying at home while others play.”

The manager, also known as “The Philosopher,” ended by saying, “In the last few weeks, we’ve had four, five, or even six players sitting at home during matches. That’s not good for them, not for the club, not for me, and not for anyone.”

It’s important to mention that City not only failed to defend their Premier League title, but they also had a rocky season with many ups and downs. They now sit in third place with 68 points, with just one game to go, trailing league winners Liverpool by 15 points. This marks a big disappointment for City’s players after the great seasons they’ve had in recent years.
