Man United want to find their feet again next season after a tough spell.
They will not take part in any European competitions next season, but the club believes their global fanbase and strong marketing power will still help them attract top names.
Some expected that big players might hesitate before joining the Red Devils, and that could be the case with Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres. But many others still see the move to United as too good to turn down.
United kicked off their summer transfer window by signing Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5 million, giving him a contract that runs until 2030.
Man United Moving On to the Next Targets
After sealing the Cunha deal, United’s board started working on another signing: Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.
The 25-year-old Cameroon international scored 20 goals and gave eight assists last season, which made him one of the best options to boost United’s attacking strength.
But they face stiff competition from Tottenham, especially now that former Brentford boss Thomas Frank is the new Spurs coach. Still, the player seems very keen to join the Red Devils.
Next comes a transfer fuelled by passion and desire. Argentine keeper Emiliano Martinez no longer wants to stay at Aston Villa, no matter the situation. He has entered serious talks with United and asked for a move, even though he extended his contract less than a year ago.
At the same time, United seem interested, especially with André Onana struggling to perform at a consistent level. Martinez could be a strong and popular option to take over in goal.
A Fresh Approach at Old Trafford
A new direction is clear at United, led by their football director Jason Wilcox. He is now focusing on using data to choose players who are already ready for Premier League football.
This shows a clear shift from how the club operated in the last ten years, when they made many signings that didn’t bring good results.
In recent times, they brought in young talents who lacked Premier League experience. Players like Rasmus Hojlund, Joshua Zirkzee, and Leny Yoro still haven’t made a big impact on the squad.
With all these changes on and off the pitch, United fans are waiting to see how the team performs under their new Portuguese coach, Ruben Amorim. He faces a massive challenge to bring back United’s former glory after many years of falling short.
