Many fans are waiting for Manchester City to officially announce the signing of Egyptian international Omar Marmoush from Germany’s Eintracht Frankfurt during this winter transfer window.
Manchester City have reached an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt for the player’s transfer, with a guaranteed fee of €75 million and an additional €5 million in potential bonuses.
Marmoush arrived in Manchester on Monday morning to undergo his medical examination and sign the contracts for his move to the Sky Blues from Eintracht Frankfurt.
German journalist Florian Plettenberg confirmed that Marmoush has successfully completed his medical tests and is now set to sign his contract and take part in a photo session to finalise the transfer.
According to the Sky Germany reporter, Manchester City plan to officially announce the deal for the Egyptian forward on Thursday, 23 January 2025.
The Egyptian star becomes the third winter signing for Manchester City, joining young Brazilian defender Vitor Reis from Palmeiras and French defender Abdul Qadir Khochanov from Lens.
Omar Marmoush’s Salary After Joining Manchester City

At Eintracht Frankfurt, Marmoush earned an annual salary of €2 million. After moving to Manchester City, the Egyptian forward will earn between €16 and €17 million annually, with €10 million as his net salary after taxes.
Manchester City targeted Marmoush because of his outstanding performances and impressive stats with Eintracht Frankfurt this season. He has scored 20 goals and provided 14 assists in 26 matches across all competitions, according to Transfermarkt.
Marmoush joined Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023 on a free transfer after leaving Wolfsburg. Since then, he has delivered exceptional performances, broken multiple records, and established himself as one of the standout players in the German Bundesliga.
