Danish defender Andreas Christensen has returned to training with Barcelona, preparing for his return to playing matches soon.

Christensen played in Barcelona’s opening match this season against Valencia but suffered a serious Achilles tendon injury and has been out ever since. Experts expect him to be back on the field in January.

Today, Sunday, Christensen joined Barcelona’s training and participated in all activities required by coach Hansi Flick, signaling that he is close to making his return to match action, according to “Mundo Deportivo.”

Christensen joined Barcelona from Chelsea in the summer of 2022 on a free transfer. So far, he has played 75 matches for Barcelona, scoring 4 goals and providing 3 assists, according to “Transfer Market.”
