Man United are ready to earn €300 million by selling five players in the next summer transfer window. The club want to rebuild the squad after a tough season where they failed in every competition.
Man United had a nightmare in the 2024-25 season. They finished 15th in the Premier League with just 42 points and missed out on European competitions after losing the Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur.
The poor results left the club in a difficult financial spot. The board decided to sell some of the top players to raise money during the summer window.
Earlier reports showed that man united planned a major squad overhaul. Now, that has become clear as the club prepares to sell five first-team players permanently.
Man United Will Sell 5 Big Names
According to the site “fichajes,” man united will sell Alejandro Garnacho, Casemiro, André Onana, Joshua Zirkzee, and Rasmus Hojlund to bring in €300 million.
The club want to sell Garnacho for €60 million. They also plan to sell Hojlund for the same amount. Casemiro is expected to leave for a small fee of €10 million.
Man United will also sell Zirkzee for €40 million. They want to let Onana leave for €30 million after his disappointing season since joining from Inter Milan.
These five players are not the only ones whose futures are unclear. Bruno Fernandes might leave too, with Bayern Munich and Al Hilal both interested. The club also has not made a final decision on Antony, who is out on loan, but many expect him to be sold as well.
Man United aim to use the money from these sales to build a new team. They plan to sign players with more reasonable wages, like Moroccan defender Nayef Aguerd from West Ham. He spent this season on loan at Real Sociedad.
