The draw for the FA Cup 2024-25 season’s round of 16 took place on Monday evening, 10th February, and it set up some balanced matchups. The highlight is Manchester City facing Plymouth, the team that knocked out Liverpool.
The FA Cup round of 32 matches brought plenty of surprises. Liverpool exited the tournament after losing 1-0 to Plymouth, while Tottenham also said goodbye following a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa. Chelsea joined the list of casualties, losing 2-1 to Brighton.
Manchester City secured their place in the next round, but it wasn’t easy. They managed a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Leyton Orient in a match that featured Egyptian star Omar Marmoush.
In other round of 32 action, Crystal Palace beat Doncaster 2-0 on Monday, and Nottingham Forest faced Exeter City.
