Reports from the press confirm that Kyle Walker has agreed to join Everton on a one-year deal. The English right-back has held talks with the Toffees since returning from his loan spell at Milan.

Everton and his current club, Man City, now need to decide whether the deal will be permanent or a 12-month loan to finish the final year of his contract.

Fulham also showed interest in the 35-year-old not long ago, but they pulled out after finding the financial demands too high.

Walker Set for Move to Everton

Walker travelled to New York for a short trip before heading to Jamaica for a two-week holiday after missing out on Man City’s squad for the Club World Cup.

A source at the club told The Sun: “Kyle gave everything for the club. He played a huge part in all the success, but after the team’s poor results last season, the club needs to rebuild.”

The 35-year-old lifted 17 major trophies during his eight years at Man City, including six Premier League titles. His time with the club started in 2017 after a £50 million move from Tottenham, and it looks like that journey is coming to a close.

Walker’s trophy list includes six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League Cups, and a Champions League title. Back in January, he told the club he wanted to try a move abroad. He later signed a six-month loan deal with AC Milan. The Italian side had the choice to extend it or make it permanent, but Walker turned them down.

Milan ended last season in a disappointing eighth place and, like Man City, they are preparing a big rebuild this summer.

For England, Walker played his 96th match in the 3-1 loss to Senegal. He now hopes to reach 100 caps.

England boss Thomas Tuchel has said that only players who show strong and steady performances will get picked. Walker feels that a move to David Moyes’ Everton gives him the perfect chance to do just that.
