Leverkusen want Jack Grealish as Wirtz replacement in big summer move

Bayer Leverkusen are making plans to sign a Premier League player to take over from Florian Wirtz, who looks likely to join Liverpool this summer. Reports from Monday say the German club are already looking for someone to step into Wirtz’s role.

The Sun shared that Leverkusen are interested in signing Jack Grealish from Man City. The English winger now believes his time at City could be over. He is open to a move and may become one of the most wanted players in Europe this summer.

Other clubs like Tottenham, Newcastle, and Aston Villa—his former team—also want to sign him. Napoli have joined the race too, as coach Antonio Conte wants to build a team that can challenge in the Champions League next season.

Now Leverkusen are ready to fight for his signature. Man City want around £40 million for Grealish, which makes him an attractive option for many teams.

Leverkusen’s new coach, Erik ten Hag, really likes Grealish. He has already told the board that the 29-year-old would be the perfect replacement for Wirtz. The German midfielder is expected to leave in the coming weeks, and Liverpool are now the favourites to sign him. Last week, Leverkusen turned down a £113 million bid from the Reds.

People close to Grealish say he likes the idea of moving to another country. He wants a fresh start and thinks playing abroad will help him get back into the England squad before the 2026 World Cup.

With interest coming from all over Europe, Grealish now has many options in front of him. Leverkusen are serious about bringing him in and see him as a key part of their plans for the future.
