Portuguese defender Ruben Dias, who plays for Man City, spoke about his side’s matches against clubs from different continents in the 2025 Club World Cup. The tournament will take place in the United States from June 14 to July 13.
The draw for the 2025 Club World Cup placed Man City in Group G with Juventus from Italy, Wydad Casablanca from Morocco, and Al Ain from the UAE.
Man City will play their first match against Wydad Casablanca on June 18. They will then face Al Ain on June 22 in the second round of group games. Their final group match will be against Juventus on June 26.
Dias says Man City need to adapt quickly in the 2025 Club World Cup
Dias spoke to Man City’s official website and said, “It will be a new kind of test because we will play teams from other continents who see the game in different ways.”
He added that facing sides like Wydad and Al Ain means the team must adjust fast, and that this ability to adapt is key to doing well in a tournament like this.
The rules of the 2025 Club World Cup say that the best two teams in each group will move on to the knockout stage. This stage includes the round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the final.
