Man United move early for Sporting striker Gyokeres

An English newspaper report on Monday confirmed that man united have made their first move to sign Swedish striker Victor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon. The offer came through club intermediaries who are handling early talks.

Gyokeres has caught the eye of many top clubs in Europe after a brilliant season with Sporting. He continues to impress with both his goal-scoring and creative play.

Sky Sports shared that man united sent their opening offer using agents who are working on their behalf. The club are now trying to take the lead before other sides step in.

Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport reported that Napoli are also very keen to sign the Swedish forward. They want him to lead their attack next season under coach Antonio Conte.

But Napoli know the deal will not be simple. The Italian side now face tough competition from the Premier League, with many English clubs showing interest.

Arsenal are one of the main clubs pushing for Gyokeres. They need a solid striker up front since Gabriel Jesus still struggles with fitness and there is no clear backup in the squad.

The Swedish attacker has had a fantastic year. He scored 54 goals in 52 games across all competitions for Sporting Lisbon. He also set up 13 assists, proving he can help his team in more than one way.

Thanks to his performances, Gyokeres helped Sporting win both the Portuguese League and the Portuguese Cup this season. His goals played a big part in their success.

With top clubs like Man United, Arsenal, and Napoli all chasing him, Gyokeres now has big choices ahead. More teams could still enter the race soon. Sporting will have a hard time holding on to their star if more bids start coming in this summer.
