Several English clubs are keen to sign Egyptian international Omar Marmoush, the Eintracht Frankfurt striker, during the current winter transfer window. Manchester City appears to be leading the chase.
City faces significant challenges in the Premier League and wants to boost their attacking line by adding a new striker to complement Erling Haaland.
Liverpool, meanwhile, sees Marmoush as a possible successor to Mohamed Salah, while Arsenal has also joined the competition. Mikel Arteta has openly expressed his admiration for the Egyptian forward and his attacking abilities.
Marmoush chooses Manchester City

According to the British outlet “CityXtra,” Marmoush has made up his mind about his next move, choosing Manchester City as his preferred destination.
In recent discussions with his representatives and City officials, Marmoush shared his desire to join Pep Guardiola’s side. Despite Arsenal being the first club to show strong interest, the playing style at City and the club’s vision made it the most appealing option for the 25-year-old striker.
Manchester City has already taken steps to finalize the deal, offering Marmoush a long-term five-year contract. However, reports suggest that the transfer will only be completed in the summer, not during the current winter window, despite Guardiola’s immediate need for reinforcements in attack.
Frankfurt aims to profit from Marmoush’s transfer
Eintracht Frankfurt plans to maximize the financial return from Marmoush’s sale. The German club previously made a massive profit from Randal Kolo Muani’s €95 million transfer to Paris Saint-Germain. They now see Marmoush as another opportunity to secure a lucrative deal, especially with high interest from English clubs. This puts Frankfurt in a strong negotiating position.
Marmoush’s impressive season at Frankfurt
Marmoush has delivered exceptional performances for Frankfurt this season, contributing to 30 goals in 23 matches across all competitions.
In the Bundesliga, he scored 13 goals and provided 8 assists. In the Europa League, he added 4 goals and 2 assists in 6 matches. He also made an impact in the German Cup, scoring once and assisting twice. This brings his total to 18 goals and 12 assists in just 1,894 minutes of play.
