Manchester City Player Offers Services to Barcelona Amid Marmoush Arrival

Press reports revealed that a Manchester City player offered his services to Barcelona in the current winter transfer window, seeking regular playing time, especially after the arrival of Egyptian star Omar Marmoush.

On Thursday morning, Manchester City confirmed the signing of Omar Marmoush following his excellent performances with Eintracht Frankfurt earlier this season.

Marmoush quickly settled in at Manchester City and was named a starter for last Saturday’s match against Chelsea, which was the 23rd round of the Premier League.

Marmoush played until the 73rd minute in a match where Manchester City defeated Chelsea 3-1.

Spanish newspaper “Sport” reported that Jeremy Doku’s role at Manchester City is now at risk, as he no longer seems to be part of coach Pep Guardiola’s plans.

The report explained that in recent games, Guardiola has preferred to use Savio instead of Doku, who has been on the bench. With Marmoush’s arrival, doubts grow about Doku’s future at the club.

As a result, Doku is unhappy with his current situation and is considering a move. His agents have offered him to several European clubs in this winter transfer window, including Barcelona.

The report also stated that Doku’s agents have proposed a loan move to Barcelona until the end of the current season.

Barcelona will assess the proposal, though the initial response from the club was that they cannot afford to pay Doku’s wages, given their ongoing financial difficulties.

Barcelona is also looking at other options to strengthen their left-wing position, with Marcus Rashford from Manchester United being their first choice.

Doku can play on the left, a position that no other player at Barcelona occupies, apart from Lamine Yamal, unlike Raphinha and Ferran Torres.

Doku also has a strong record this season, scoring 6 goals and providing 7 assists in 1163 minutes.

The newspaper confirmed that for Barcelona to sign anyone this month, they would need to make space in their wage bill, which could happen if one of their players leaves. However, this seems unlikely, as the situation remains complicated.

Ronaldo Araujo has been linked with a potential move, although he recently signed a new contract. Eric Garcia intends to stay, while Ansu Fati is unsure about leaving.

Barcelona’s final solution may involve the departure of Andreas Christensen, who has not featured in a single match this season after his injury.
