Pep Guardiola, the Spanish coach of Manchester City, praised the performance of Egyptian player Omar Marmoush after he scored a hat-trick against Newcastle United in the Premier League.
Marmoush scored three goals, helping Manchester City secure a dominant 4-0 victory over Newcastle United at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League.

Guardiola said in an interview with Sky Sports after the match: “Our sporting director, Txiki Begiristain, said we need that player, so I agreed.”
“When Txiki came to me and said we need this player, I thought: with what we’re going through this season, the more players you bring in, the better. I called a few friends in Germany – I have some contacts there – and asked about his performance. They spoke very highly of his attitude, his training, and of course, his assists, goals, and speed,” Guardiola explained.
“He is a young player, and he came to Manchester City to build his career. That’s why the club – because the club always makes the final decision – chose to bring him in.”
“Marmoush did great in Germany, especially in terms of his quality and speed. I was happy with the way he scored. Against Leyton Orient in the FA Cup, he missed a few chances, but today, in the final third, he was fantastic.”

Brazilian Ederson Moraes also praised Marmoush, saying: “He is a very, very good player. He is extremely fast and has a great finish… I helped him a lot today. I’m happy to see him and all the new faces at the club contributing to the victory. They helped us a lot.”
Marmoush scored his first goal for Manchester City with a shot that went over the Newcastle goalkeeper, after receiving a brilliant long pass from Ederson.
