Italian newspapers report that Napoli plans to sign a Manchester United player in the current winter transfer window. They want this player to replace their star, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who is likely to leave soon.

The 23-year-old winger has already shown his desire to leave Napoli this winter. French sources confirm that Kvaratskhelia is close to joining Paris Saint-Germain in a deal worth up to 70 million euros.

Napoli coach identifies Kvaratskhelia’s replacement

According to the “Sport Italia” website, Napoli coach Antonio Conte has chosen Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho as the ideal replacement for Kvaratskhelia.

Conte believes the 20-year-old Argentine winger is the right fit for the team. He has already approved contacting Garnacho’s representatives and Manchester United’s management to explore the transfer.

The report mentions that Manchester United values Garnacho at around 50 million euros. This amount will not be a problem for The Parthenopeans if Kvaratskhelia’s transfer to PSG is completed.

Garnacho, who joined Manchester United’s U18 team from Atletico Madrid in October 2020 for 465,000 euros, has become an important player this season. Although he hasn’t played much under new coach Ruben Amorim, Garnacho has appeared in 30 matches across all competitions, scoring 8 goals and providing 5 assists.

Kvaratskhelia, on the other hand, has played 19 matches this season, scoring 5 goals and assisting 3 more. Overall, he has contributed to 59 goals (30 goals and 29 assists) in 107 appearances for Napoli.
