Former English national team coach Sam Allardyce praised Egyptian player Omar Marmoush after he scored a hat-trick against Newcastle United in the Premier League.
Marmoush helped his team, Manchester City, secure a 4-0 win over Newcastle in the match on Saturday at the Etihad Stadium, during the 25th round of the Premier League.
Allardyce spoke about the challenges players face when joining a team during the winter transfer window, highlighting how hard it is for players to settle in quickly and make an immediate impact.

In a statement to Manchester City’s official website, Allardyce said: “I don’t think I’ve seen a player come in during the January transfer window and make such an impact in just one match so early.”
“Believe me, I’ve seen many players join at this time of year and struggle to adjust to the quality, fitness, and demands of the Premier League. It often takes them until the next season to show their best,” he added. “So to come in quickly and show such great talent and willingness to run is impressive. He has a good connection with Erling Haaland, the passes, and the link-up play are really good. That’s why what Marmoush did is exceptional. To join, adapt so quickly, and perform like this shows his talent and mentality clearly.”

The 70-year-old coach finished his comments by saying: “He scored a fantastic hat-trick, everything he did in the match was excellent, and this is a great start for a young player like him.”
The Egyptian star joined Manchester City in January from Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany for 75 million euros, following impressive performances that caught Pep Guardiola’s attention before top European clubs could move for him in the summer transfer market.
In his first four matches with Manchester City, Marmoush had not scored or assisted, struggling to make an impact with his new team. However, the Egyptian striker made a strong comeback in his fifth match against Newcastle United, scoring a hat-trick in just 14 minutes, marking his first goals in the Premier League.
