Egyptian striker Mohamed Salah, who plays for Liverpool, said he hopes Belgian star Kevin De Bruyne will join the Reds for free during this summer’s transfer window.

In a chat with Sky Sports, Salah said, “We have enough space for him to be with us.” Salah made the comment in a funny way, but it also showed how much he really likes De Bruyne.

There were earlier talks about Liverpool wanting to sign De Bruyne, especially after he spent 10 seasons with Man City. During that time, he played 422 games in all competitions, scored 108 goals, and gave 177 assists.

But Salah’s wish might not happen, because De Bruyne does not want to leave Man City to play for another English club. There are even rumours that he already made a first deal to join Napoli, the Serie A champions.

Kevin De Bruyne Gets Praise from Salah

Many fans see Kevin De Bruyne as one of the best players in Premier League history. He helped Man City win the Premier League title six times in his 10 years at the club.

The Mirror, a British paper, earlier shared a talk with Salah. In it, Salah said he dreams of playing with three players. These were Cristiano Ronaldo, who now plays for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, Lionel Messi, who plays for Inter Miami in the USA, and Kevin De Bruyne, the midfielder at Man City.

One more thing to know is that De Bruyne is third on the list of players who played the most games against Salah. They met 19 times before. Salah won 10 of those games, they drew four times, and De Bruyne won five times. Salah also scored 13 goals in those games, while De Bruyne scored four. This record shows how often these two stars have competed and the kind of challenge they bring to each other on the pitch.
