Coach Confirms New Players But Keeps Names Secret
Wydad Casablanca coach Amine Benhachem has confirmed that the club made five new signings before heading to the United States for the upcoming Club World Cup, which starts next week.
Wydad are in Group G alongside man city, Juventus, and Al Ain from the UAE. The Moroccan club aims to strengthen the team before this major competition.

During a radio interview, Benhachem said, “We already agreed on five deals, but I won’t share the names right now. These players cover different positions, and they come from various countries.”
He also explained the reason behind keeping their identities secret for now. “We already paid the price in the past when we revealed some names too early. Once the names got out, other clubs came in and raised the prices, which made things harder for us,” he said.

The coach gave some hints about the new signings. “One is a Brazilian defender and another is from Bolivia. We also signed a Portuguese player and an African footballer who recently played in the Champions League. The fifth player is a Moroccan professional who was playing in France.”
Benhachem also spoke about the club’s goals ahead of the tournament. “We want to complete our squad. Our main aim is to represent Morocco in the best possible way in this competition,” he added.
Wydad want to go far in the Club World Cup and show a strong performance against big clubs like man city and Juventus. These new signings are expected to add more strength and experience to the team.
The Moroccan club are now working to finalise everything before they travel. Wydad’s fans will wait for the official announcements and hope the new players help the team shine on the world stage.
